The Ok Om Bok Festival, also known as the Moon Worship Festival, is a significant cultural event for the Khmer community in Southern Vietnam. It celebrates the end of the harvest season with offerings to the Moon and includes traditional ceremonies, boat racing, and vibrant local performances.
The tour includes visits to Ao Ba Om, Ang Pagoda, traditional Khmer villages, participation in boat racing, lantern releases, and the Moon Worship Ceremony. You’ll also visit Chim Islet to experience rural life, craft traditional foods, and enjoy local games.
The tour starts on November 15th, 2024. You can be picked up from Can Tho or Ho Chi Minh City at 8:00 am. The tour lasts for two days and includes drop-off at the same location.
You should bring your original ID, Citizen Identity Card, or passport. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended, especially for the cycling activities on Chim Islet. Don’t forget any personal items like sunscreen or a camera.
The tour uses cars for transportation between destinations, and bikes are provided for exploring Chim Islet and boat.
